In a more transversal fashion, the research efforts also consider more general problems such as the definition and implementation of a modeling platform or in the following application fields: medical imaging, geological modeling, physical phenomena's simulation and Computer Aided Design (CAD).
Modeling, construction and geometrical proofs
The underlying central problem of this theme is geometric modeling which is approached from different points of views. This theme therefore splits into three complementary operations :
- Geometrical and topological modeling,
- Geometrical constraints solving,
- Specifications and geometrical proofs.
Visualization, interaction and simulation
This theme is developed together with the program called RéVA. It splits into two complementary operations :
