- December 2019 : Xavier Chermain joins us for a 2-year postdoc on "synthesis and rendering of complex procedural textures". Welcome !
- November 2019: I am leading a new ANR project "Rendering procedural textures for huge digital worlds", in collaboration with the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. We are hiring a Master trainee and a PhD.
- July 2019: I am awarded the PRIP (bonus for my contribution to education and teaching skills)
- April 2019: our educational paper about collaboration for lecturer education has been accepted to QPES 2019 (french)
- February 2019: our paper "Anisotropic Filtering for On-the-fly Patch-based Texturing" has been accepted to Eurographics 2019 (short papers track).
- December 2018: I am awarded the PEDR (bonus for doctoral supervision and research)
- July 2018: I defended my "habilitation à diriger des recherches" (accreditation to supervise research). My thesis (in french) focuses on texture synthesis by example, and on the appearance of 3D digital objects.
- July 2018: kick start for the educational project "Scriptum", which is funded by Idex Formation / PIA. I am the leader of this 2-year educational project entitled (in french) "Scriptum : vers une maîtrise des écrits académiques et professionnels en sciences".
- July 2018: kick start for the IREM group about teaching computer science.
- June 2018: I got a diploma for teaching skills in higher education (Diplôme d’université de Pédagogie de l’enseignement supérieur).
- October 2017: ASTex is online: I am te scientific leader of this open-source library for texture analysis and synthesis.
- June 2017: our paper Visual Quality Assessment of 3D Models: on the Influence of Light-Material Interaction has been accepted by ACM Transactions on Applied Perception.
- May 2017: our paper Bi-Layer textures: a Model for Synthesis and Deformation of Composite Textures has been accepted to EGSR 2017.
- February 2017: our educational paper about program approach has been accepted to QPES 2017 (french)
- November 2016: Project HDWorlds starts (ANR).
